Dr. Samer Aljishi

Samer has grown the company from a small, Bahrain-based regional player into a diverse global organization with 2,500 employees and manufacturing facilities in France, Brazil, China, India, the Philippines, South Africa, and the US.

BFG is the world’s leading multinational engineering and manufacturing group and, in his role as

President, Samer oversees global operations, strategy, and international business development.

He has brokered professional relationships with key clients, including Alstom Transport, Bombardier Transportation, Siemens, General Electric, Hyundai Rotem, Volvo, Gamesa, Downer, EDI, SNCF, and Bechtel to name but a few. He also plays in instrumental role in developing brand recognition and market expansion strategies for global markets from Australia to the Americas.

Samer established internal R&D and Engineering centers at the Bahrain facility and implemented technology transfer agreements to share manufacturing expertise in international branches. As an industry leader he has contributed significantly to employment opportunities and economic growth in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Technological innovation is a key driver for the company’s success and Samer places great importance on staying ahead of the curve. As such, he opened a Research and Technology

Development Centre in France – which specializes in cutting-edge solutions for mobile micro waste management systems – and created an R&D center in Spain to design and develop vacuum waste toilets and control systems for the international rail industry.

Furthermore, he established an Incubator / Accelerator Unit to assist, mentor, and develop local startups and support innovative global companies.
