Duarte Correia works for APM Terminals, part of the A.P. Moller-Maersk group, and is currently deployed as Project Controls Manager on its flagship, greenfield project of TM2, Tangier, Morocco. The TM2 project will deliver one of the most advanced container terminals in the world, which will start operating in 2019.

Duarte has over 15 years experience in the transport industry. He has been with APM Terminals for over 5 years and, before moving to Morocco, held different positions in the company’s HQ in The Hague, Netherlands, managing global projects related to Operations, HSSE, and Asset Management. His latest role before moving to Tangier was Head of Key Projects Implementation, where he was responsible for the execution and delivery of critical projects under APM Terminals strategy

Prior to joining APM Terminals, Duarte worked for APS – Port of Sines Authority, Portugal; and as independent port consultant.

A Portuguese national, Duarte has an Advanced Studies Diploma in Transportation Systems from Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal; and a master’s degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands.
